939. Masonic Hall 18 South Magnolia Avenue

This building was built in 1895 as a masonic hall. Masonic Halls served as a lodge or meeting place for Freemasonry.

Artist Joyce Ballantine-Brand lived in an upstairs apartment for more than 30 years. She featured her three year old daughter in the famous advertisement for the Coppertone Company in 1959. Below is a photo of the ad.
