About the Artist | Mike Zeak

Mike Zeak brings over thirty years of experience in custom welding, fabrication and restoration. He has worked in both private sector and local government and learned that his true passion is developing unique solutions and creating designs from ideas. He has restored numerous vehicles personally over the years, including a 1930 Model A pickup, a 1922 Seagrave fire truck, a 1958 Beardmore British taxi, a 1956 Chevy Nomad, and a 1971 Mustang Mach One to name a few. Those projects began as junkyard relics and with many hours of sweat, and sometimes tears, they were completely refurbished.

His company Zeak Technique's recent projects have included art sculptures for local businesses, a soil sampling unit for the University of Florida, bicycle display racks for a retail bike shop, and a number of charitable causes. Zeak has also designed and built numerous residential and commercial entry gates.

Zeak is certified by the American Welding Society in structural welding of both aluminum and steel, AWS D1.1 and AWS D1.2.
